Trapping Combined with Muscle Piece Embolization in a Case of Traumatic C-C Fistula

Abstract
|
|
|
The carotid-cavernous fistula is the creation of a channel shunting blood from the internal carotid artery into the cavernous sinus. We have recently experienced a case of post-traumatic c-c fistula. The Jaeger-Hamby´s Trapping combined with muscle piece embolization technique was performed for this patient.
The patient discharged at 12th hospital day without symptoms. The review of reference about c-c fistula were made.
